The other side

Just finished reading Testimony of Light by Helen Greaves who received messages from Frances Banks, a Nun who passed away, which is worth sharing this moment in time.

Here is one of the captions that rings of  truth.  The saying on earth “As a man thinks, so is he” is true in essence, truer than our ideas can conceive.  By man’s thoughts and inspirations he weaves for  himself his future place in this dimension (Astral Plane where we go after leaving earth).  This is logical Law.  In the earth life he can build a facade about himself.  Here he has no such mask.  He is know here for what he is, and for what his inner subjective live has made him.

For sure there is no escape from our  thoughts and feelings.  When we  are manipulative,  angry, hold onto guilt, controlling, this will carry on into our next endeavor in the Astral Plane.  We will review all that we have done and if there is a preponderance of inflicting pain on others and ourselves through our actions and thoughts we will feel it ten-fold.  The vibration in the Astral is much different then   here on Earth.

Yes there is no place to hide .  Another story goes on to say, The man had been a Nazi leader, well-known and extremely powerful during the last war.  After the downfall of Germany he had committed suicide.  Since that time he had been “lodged in the shadows.”  Mother Florence explained that he had been “wandering in the lower places.  ”You would no doubt refer to t his dark place as the “lower astral.”  In any case, for twenty earth years, he had been imprisoned by  his own evil.

The ward was dark and gloomy, very different from our usual light and sunny rooms.  A pall of murky twilight seemed seemed to hover over it.  Only slowly did it become apparent to us that  ”something” lay on the bed.  I looked away quickly from the repellent sight.  The poor creature’s body appeared to be covered with sores and scars; the eyes were closed.  ”He thinks he is blind” Mother Florence whispered.  ”‘he is not of course.  But the Light here is too bright and penetratinfg for him as yet; and he cries out that it has blinded him.

Yes, if people only knew that life is a continuum and there is no escape, people would not do  harm to others.  Unfortunately our planet and people will have to go through a sojourn to uncover this truth.  People will continue to do horrible things to others until it runs its course.

A friend of mine said, if we all Love and no there is no separateness our planet will heal and there will be “peace on earth.”  As long as most people continue  to not believe in life after death how can we heal?  Many Christians believe they can go to their priest, father, pope and ask to resolved of all sins and its gone.  What folly…..Muslims  kill one another for the sake of hatred and anger and thinks Muhammad will take them to paradise.  What folly.  All I can say is “wake up  and smell the roses.”

If you are not sure if there is truth being said, then it behooves you to check it out. And if it rings true encourage others to do the same.  It is not too late to heal ourselves and our planet.

Ramadan and Muhammad

The Oregonian has been running several articles depicting a number of Muslim’s fasting during Ramadan (a month of fasting). Dr. Sam Hassan an anesthesiologist states, “whenever, I encounter stress I turn inward and ask God for forgiveness and guidance.”  He goes onto say Ramadan is a more intense expression of the faith that I practice all year long.”

For many Muslims they do this as a ritual and have difficulty remembering the reason they fast.  The mind will gravitate to that which it thinks it cannot have.  I know from a personal experience that when I fasted, I longed for food and after three days I could not wait to eat.  Hence I focused more on food then on God.

I do not  profess to judge how or why Muslims fast on Ramadan.  According to this article Dr. Hassan seems to do it for the right reasons.  My teacher, Meher Baba ofIndia states, “By bringing into action the vital forces to withstand the craving for food, it is possible to free the mind from attachment to food.”  He goes on to say, “external fasting  has no spiritual value when it is undertaken with the motive of securing the health for the body or for the sake of self-demonstration.”

I further  would shed some light on this subject as stated by Meher Baba.  Muhammad incorporated Ramadan originally as a social measure in Arabia so that the rich people would become more aware of the hunger of the very poor people.  It was never intended to be carried on over the centuries and in other countries as a religious dictum.

In closing, if fasting helps one focus on God more then food it helps the individual become more in tuned to the God within.  If one does it to master craving or from the perspective of rituals it loses its  true meaning.

The Christian Wrong

Today I picked up the Oregonian Newspaper with a headline stating, Beck, Palin call for  restored values.  Whose values are they talking about anyway, surely not mine.  These headlines only confirm, to me, that we have a long long way to go  before Oneness takes over separatism.

Beck states, “something beyond imagination is happening, American today begins to turn back to God.”  Beck exhorted the crowd to “recognize your place to the creator.”  Wow, are we in for big dodo since so many believe his and Palin’s truths.  As long as our country follows this belief we will eventually suffer the consequences of ignorance.

Our country and yes our planet is on a way to self destruction both from a physical and emotional level.  If one’s eyes are open one can see/feel the truth of this.  The question may be asked, how do I heal that which is  broken.  Hold on to Love and Truth and release that which holds you back from your true self.  Well,  how do I release that which holds me back from my true self.

One must have courage  and dive into  the false and ask what that part is trying to do for you.  It always comes down to being safe and not vulnerable.  When one has a sense of false safety the heart is closed and has difficulty finding God as his/her true self.

Let us hope our country, our planet, our people will again find that God resides in the heart and is not separate from us.

Journey

Lets see, I’ll try that one or maybe this one as if I was going to a new restaurant to taste their various delights.  Someone out their  must know the answers that my heart is seeking.   Sure enough, walking that fall day in October 1970, I picked up the Village Voice Newspaper in New York City and their was a picture of a funny looking man, somewhere in his sixties, who reminded me of the commedian Jerry Calonna (not sure of the spelling o f his last name).  Then there were those words, “Don’t Worry Be Happy” and he goes by the name Meher Baba.  So, I had to check this guy out.

They had meetings in those days on every Friday starting at 8 PM.  Sure enough as soon as I entered the room, I started, as I recall, having this uncontrollable laugh which I could not stop.  I hoped this Meher Baba had the answers to my existence.

Of course, like most guru’s, as most were called had many books to scan.  Some written by the guru and some by his  or her followers.   I did not know immediately that Meher Baba called  himself the Avatar  (God Man)of this age.  He proclaimed himself to be the same as Jesus, Budah, Krishna and others.

As I scanned the varous books depicting  his journey, I saw a book entitled God Speaks.  Finally someone has the answer to all my questions.  Whose on first, whats on second and so  on.   I   remember  two pages in particular  that read “out of the everything comes nothing and within the nothing is nothingness. ”  Now what the hell did that mean?  Well I picked up a dictionary to  find out the meanings to those words and I still could not understand.

Well, some years later, I got the meaning of that sentence.  God is Everything, nothing is the illusion and nothingness is all  the paraphernalia in illusion.  Wow, is that deep………….and of course true.

Yes, I have had many experiences with Meher Baba since those early days, some in dreams, some just visually  seeing Him and yes in meditations as well.  Because of my faith in  Him I traveled to India  to taste the nectar of His love.  He died in 1969 but at least, I could meet his disciples and visit HIS tomb.  That journey will be in another blog at a later date.

Higher Self

I am soon going to count up from one to three and when we get to three you will be fully aware, experiencing the radiant beingness of your own HIgher Self.  From this  perspective, you experience clear guidance and insight into any area of your life.  So the journey began with the Higher Self who has been with me since taking on human form, wow.

Connecting with one’s Higher Self is simply changing frequencies.  It was through Transformational Hypnotherapy that I began in earnest to understand that part who is non-judgmental, detached, loving and offering guidance when asked.  Connecting with the Higher Self is another sub-personality or part that comes fourth when shifting frequencies.  Some may have experienced their inner child, control, anger, wisdom part and so on which are truly different frequencies.  On another note, if I were to ask you a word or phrase to describe you, I could connect to that part.  Another words, we are a conglomerate of various parts or sub-personalities.

Yes, we all have a Higher Self which can be seen, felt, or heard depending on which of your senses is most dominant.  Mine came as light and offered me help to uncover my true and loving self.  I learned much on this journey (which began in earnest in 1990), releasing the false which hindered  me from accepting people as they are.  In order to begin to love, the Higher Self  had to teach me to  allow my heart to be vulnerable, and not be influenced how I was viewed by others.

The Higher Self can also be the gateway to uncovering your Spirit Guides.  If one has tried there are three very important  questions to ask. First, are you my true Spirit Guide?  Second, are you here for my highest good, learning, and growth?  Third, shine light from you heart to the Guide.  If the Guide stays it is a true Guide and not a mischievous one.  Most of our Guides hang out in the Astral Plane or somewhere close by.  One must be careful when  connecting with Guides and not be manipulated by the false ones who only want to use your energy for personal gain.

Since the journey began, I have now learned to align myself with other peoples energies in order  to find out what  keeps the individual from discovering his/her truth.  What triggers keep one from expressing their heart, what their lessons are, what are their gifts, etc.  When you know who you are truly are, you will know that you are not separate from God or Spirit.

Because of this journey to truth and knowingness, I am not  caught up in the worlds travail because it is all God’s plan. How wonderful to not be swayed by politics, famine, floods, drought, etc. because the planet must now cleanse itself before it can begin to heal.  My Higher Self knows this truth and so do I, the human who incorporates that which knows.  It is truly fun to be alive………………

Please feel free to leave your comments, I would love to hear from you.

The Crow

In 1990 while living in Seattle I had a need to do a Native American Sweat.  I went to all the metaphysical bookstores to enquire if they knew of anyone who would be able to provide me the means to do so.  Soon after they provided me with a phone number to call a person by the name of Michael (caucasian) who was respected by the Native American’s in the Northwest.

After contacting him we made an appointment to go into the mountains where  he had provided sweats for individuals and groups in the past.  It was during the sweat or soon after I asked for my “Power Animal” ( to be  drawn into complete  harmony with the strength of that animals eessence) the one who would be my Spirit Guide.  As it turned out it was a Crow.

In meditation I asked the Crow what it was here to teach me and it stated, “I am here to turn your heart inside out.”  For the next two years I went through a transformation of the heart.  The Crow helped me to become more vulnerable, be able to receive and not just give, let go of control, and yes open my  heart to others and myself.  Gaining understanding from power animals is a healing process, and must be approached with humility and intuitiveness.

I remember a time when I was meditating in Green Lake, a park in Seattle, and I had asked the Crow a question.  I do not exactly remember the question but I do remember what happened afterwards.  As soon as I was done with my question a Crow zoomed past my head without actually touching it; right after I saw  two Crows relieving themselves and right after that a woman asked me, “what did  you do to upset the crows?”

Soon after I shared my experience with Michael who provided me with wonderful insight.  First he stated because the Crow did not actually touch me the answer was close but not forthcoming.  Second, I used a curse word to describe the two Crows relieving themselves and he stated the importance of how I use words and its impact on consciousness.  Thirdly , I should have answered the woman regarding the Crows because that dialogue would have  provided insight to my question.

Another  incident with Crows came about while in my  Seattle apartment when I  heard a loud bang.  Evidently a Crow go electrocuted while on a hot wire and died.  I then heard loud Crow cawing as the bird lay on the ground.  My neighbor was about to put it in the garbage as the cawing continued.  Seeing what the neighbor was about to do, I told him to stop. which he did.  I then  picked up the Crow with a shovel and buried it and as soon as I did that the cawing stopped.  The Crows shared with me how they are interconnected and to treat life with respect.

I have learned that Crows are very family oriented and will protect their young at all costs.  When someone gets close to their nest where young ones are being cared for, the Crows will immediately buzz a persons head to fend off the intruder.

I have since moved on and the Crow is no longer my Guide.  However, I believe the Crow came to me based upon  my past lifetime as Native American and needed to finish that imprint.  I will always cherish Crows for helping me turn my heart inside out.

Suicide

I recently took  a Suicide First Aide workshop to help individuals who were thinking about killing themselves.  Whether someone called or you connected  in person one would ask “do you have a plan?”   However, prior to that question, as hard as it may be, is to simply ask, “are you thinking about committing suicide?”  Once you know the reasons why  then you would want to eventually  have a plan to keep them safe.

Yes, there is a process of uncovering if an individual is thinking about harming themselves.  My Godfather killed himself by putting a gun to his head. Personally I felt people who did that were selfish and weak.  However, I now know it is part of the soul’s journey.  When a person commits suicide that individual will often experience the pain in the astral world (the place we go when we die) when reviewing  the consequences of their action.

In this course the Caregiver (there are other names to use but we will use Caregiver as the one who is trying to prevent an individual from committing suicide) must first connect to the individual by asking questions and exploring reasons for that person wanting to commit suicide.  Next by listening, the Caregiver will have an understanding for the reasons……………….

Yes, after understanding the reasons , if feasible, turn the negative into positive reasons for wanting to live.  Finding out what a person has done in their life could reinforce the reasons to live, i.e., music, travel, pets, family members, etc.   Of course you would want to know if they have a plan and ask if they had tried to commit suicide  in the past.  If they have tried what stopped them.  The very fact that person is talking to you is a reason they want to live and if necessary point that out.

For sure you want to get a commitment from that individual not to carry out  suicide even if it is for a day or less.  For example, if they were planning on using a gun, ask the person to give you the gun. Another example if they were going to turn on the engine in the garage to follow through with suicide ask for the car keys.  So, have a safety plan in place.

Also important have that individual state the reasons they were going to commit suicide and state the safety plan that is in place.  By doing that will reinforce their commitment to stay safe.

After that you would want to have the person connect with people who will be their for them within the safety plan besides yourself;  it could be a trusted family member, therapist, counselor and so on.  In this course, even the person who was playing the part of wanting to commit suicide brought up different emotions.

As a society we need to have more workshops in place and especially in the schools. Our world is experiencing numerous difficulties  and more people will  want to let go of because of pain.  From a spiritual perspective the pain will be carried over into the next world.  Again, that soul will continue to suffer and when reborn will have to experience similar circumstances to learn his or her lesson.

I welcome  your comments.

Do You Believe

I recently watched the last episode, season two, Saving Grace.  In this particular episode a man by the name of Leroy  was about to be put to death.  He was torn between  letting go of his physical form and having faith in Allah (The meaning of God in the Islamic religion).  He would go between fighting to stay connected to his body and at the same  time calling out to Allah.  This caused him much anguish as he was about to die.

Even though many believe in Spirit there still is an attachment to one’s body.  Why is it difficult to let go?  The answer lies in the multitude of life times in the physical form.   We do not remember ourselves as Spirit when we are  reborn into the physical body.  So, once again we need to develop faith and trust that we are more then the  form.

Also, when we are born we do not remember our past lives which have been both good and bad.  The reason people do not remember because of the   physical and or  emotional  harm they have done to others.  Because of God’s compassion we forgo those experiences.

Once again, people have to hold onto their faith that the afterlife truly exists and that  the physiclal form is just one aspect on the journey towards God and truth.

Many have gone to intuitives, psychics, tarot readers, astrologers, etc to obtain answers to their quest for insight or healing.  Yes, it is difficult to let go but if you atleast believe there is more then just  this world of form then it would be easier to let go of………………………

I heard that the Spirit world welcomes those who have died when they are now  born in the Spirit world and when the soul leaves it is like death. When someone dies it is easier to know that they are truly going to a better place where physical suffering no longer exists.  However there is suffering if one has done many misdeeds based upon selfishness, greed, and manipulation of others.  That is another story.

Please feel free to voice your comments.  Thanks, Robert

They Just Don’t Get It

I am sure like many of you their  have been numerous e-mails stating that you have won a lottery from some foreign country or someone is giving you their sob story.  Sometimes I e-mail these individuals to inform them that their deeds have dire consequences.

If they knew that their is no escape from greed, manipulation of others they would not try to take advantage of gullible individuals.  When a person dies they must play back on the others side (Astral Plane) all their transgressions.  They will do it with their astral body which is not dense as it is here on the Earth plane.

These individuals will play back their earthly life and feel the pain they have caused others ten fold and experience tremendous suffering.  When they take on another body they will also experience much suffering do to  karma (the sum of a person’s actions in this or previous states of existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future existences.)

There was an individual who, in a past life, had stolen from others and in this life had to pay the consequences of those past actions.  This individual was in a loan business as a salesman trying to help people get loans for their enterprises.  The salesman worked unknowingly with an owner who manipulated others.

It so happened that eventually the local authorities arrested  the manager for taking advantage of  others in order to make money.  The salesman, who was honest and truly trying to help other people obtain loans was also arrested.

It happened that an undercover police officer had recorded conversations between the manager and other people who were also trying to scam others.  The salesman was not privy of the goings on.  The salesman was arrested because of a past life stealing from others and had to experience being put in jail.

Yes, there is no escape and if the people of the world knew that karma and past lives are a part of our journey towards God these transgressions would not happen.

Forgiving the Nazi

There was a woman who had passed on who  was learning to forgive the Nazi who had murdered her in the concentration camp.  She was surrounded by Light Beings trying to help her to meet this individual and yes forgive him.  The Nazi who had passed on as well was emaciated  both physically  and emotionally  due to his transgressions.  I do not know if the woman actually did  forgive him.  There must be a very strong lesson for this woman who had to learn forgiveness.

Book, Testimony of Light, by Helen Greaves

I find it difficult when religious individuals ask us to forgive someone else but find it difficult to forgive themselves i.e. guilt, anger, control, negative thoughts to  name a few.  Often when doing a session I will ask this question to my client, “what does forgiveness mean?”  Most often an individual will not know the answer.  It simply means “letting go.”

When we let go, we cannot be a victim to whatever is keeping us back from our true selves.  I will also ask  a client,”what do you get by holding onto ………….?How would that change you if you let go of…………?”  Not so easy to answer the latter question.  When a person holds onto emotional baggage it keeps him/her safe because it is familiar.

A person can learn to forgive themselves first before passing away to learn that art of letting go.  Again, it is difficult to forgive another unless you forgive yourself first.  So, let go, let go, let go.
